The origin of Hibiscus is China, which is distributed in Guangdong, Yunnan, Taiwan, Fujian, Guangxi, Sichuan and other places in China. It is also called Fusang flowers.
Malaysia calls Hibiscus "Bangalaya", which means "big red flower". It regards Hibiscus as a symbol of Malay national enthusiasm and clearness, which is a metaphor for passion for the motherland like fire. Hawaiian has planted a large area of Hibiscus. The sight of Hibiscus will remind us of the blue sea and blue sky beaches and the beautiful ladies with grass skirts on their waists.
It is said that aboriginal girls put Hibiscus above their left ear to mean "I hope to have a lover" and above their right ear to mean "I have a lover". How about both sides? I already have a lover, but I hope to have another one.
Fijians hold the traditional "Fusang Festival" every August, lasting seven days. During the festival, people decorate the streets and alleys, the arches and floats with red hibiscus flowers, and parade in costumes. The climax of the festival is to select three "Empresses of Fusang" and wear their beautiful crowns full of red Fusang flowers. The festival is very grand.
